what is it?
Counselling sessions are meetings that, through an interactive relationship based on trust and collaboration, provide you with a confidential space to be heard and to explore your thoughts and feelings in safety, with the aim of strengthening your capacities for self-determination, finding your personal resources and facilitating their use to deal with existential, emotional or relationship issues, make a change, reach a goal, achieve personal growth and improve, in general, quality of life.
It is therefore an activity in the field of promoting well-being, which is not to be confused with other fields: I do not provide medical or psychological diagnoses/cures.
My role as a counsellor is to accompany you through your process without judgement, always with the highest regard for your individuality and respect for your emotional, physical, mental and spiritual autonomy.
what can I do for you?
We all have times in our lives when something is wrong, maybe we don't know what it is exactly, or we're not comfortable with ourselves, we are struggling to face a circumstance or make a change.
If you are finding yourself stuck or overwhelmed and that is impacting on your ability to enjoy life, or you are looking for a deeper understanding of yourself and the situations you are in, I can support you on your journey assisting you holistically through a wide range of matters you may have to deal with, such as:
- emotional or behavioural issues (e.g. doubts, worries, emotions and feelings you are not comfortable with)
- relationships difficulties (e.g. partner, family, friends, colleagues)
- crisis or coping with change and transitions
- existential and spiritual matters
My professional approach embraces the principles of Core Energetics and BioGestalt (body-oriented holistic theories and practices) as well as the shamanic teachings of Sweet Medicine. I also integrate additional skills acquired and related experiences gained over time, always with attention to the complexity and wholeness of each human being and for the maximum actualisation of his innate tendency to self-realisation, autonomy, and healthy development.
The varied techniques I am trained in are brought into session according to individual specificities.
It is always worth it spending time to better see and understand yourself and make choices true to yourself. You do not need to do it alone though, especially if you do not feel like you can or you feel like you could benefit from the support of someone impartial and professionally trained.
